Professor Farley has held a diverse range of roles in the higher education field. At Monash University he was Associate Dean (Education) in the Faculty of Business and Economics and Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance. At Deakin University he was Director of the Institute of Teaching and Learning. At Victoria University he was Head of the School and Accounting and Head of the School of Economics and Finance, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, Assistant Provost, PVC(Planning and Finance) and CFO. He has been an AUQA auditor and a member of the TEQSA Panel of Experts as well as an auditor for the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment - Saudi Arabia. He has published in top ranked journals in fields as diverse as Accounting, Finance, Education and Operations Research.
