My research interests span two broad fields, linked by a common theme of understanding how human land-uses and management practices affect native species and ecosystems. I'm interested in how factors such as landscape patterns, land-use types and temporal disturbance events (e.g. drought) affect species in modified landscapes. I'm also interested in how fire regimes affect patterns of temporal change in native systems, and how such understanding can be best used to guide fire management for conservation objectives. My research interests share a strongly applied perspective.
