BIO
As a Teaching-Focussed academic at La Trobe, I actively contributed to the discipline of physics through my coordination and teaching, scholarship of learning and teaching, and service. I have a passion and commitment to the design and delivery of high-quality learning activities which seek to engage, motivate, and inspire students. High student feedback is achieved through a proactive approach to new teaching strategies, methods and technologies and continuous self-reflection and improvement of subject material and delivery. I consistently seek to use evidence-based research to guide innovations in learning and teaching and I have become a leader in the sharing of scholarly practices in La Trobe’s teaching focused community and nationally.
I arrived at La Trobe as a post-doctoral researcher in 2011 working on space-physics research using the SuperDARN Over-the-Horizon Radars designed and operated by La Trobe Engineering. Following a number of research and teaching appointments in space-physics at La Trobe I transitioned into a Teaching Focussed position in 2016.
