Adriana Mannino is a Registered Nutritionist and Project Manager/Clinical Service Planner for the Department of Health, leading hospital and community-based health service/ commissioning projects. She is currently undertaking a PhD with a focus on gut health.
She also works as a Research and Teaching Casual Academic at La Trobe University within the Bachelor of Food and Nutrition, Bachelor of Human Nutrition, and other Health Science degrees. Her post-graduate research has focused on multiple sclerosis, investigating links between ultra-processed foods and dietary inflammation; examining the associations between maternal weight status and childhood obesity; and exploring the effects of enteral nutrition in patients with advanced upper GI cancers.
Adriana has been working in Public Health for over 10 years.
She is a member of multiple Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) Committees, including the current Chair of the NSA Mentoring Program Committee, and is an ethics research reviewer for the South Metropolitan Health Service Human Research Ethics Committee.
