BIO

Dr Ben Wilkie is a lawyer and historian, and an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Department of History. He has broad experience in Australian and Victorian history, particularly the history of western Victoria and the history of the Scots in Australia. He is the author of The Scots in Australia, 1788-1938 (Boydell Press, 2017), and his book Gariwerd: An Environmental History of the Grampians (CSIRO Publishing 2020) won the Local History Small Publication Award in the 2020 Victorian Community History Awards. Ben is also currently pursuing projects in business and legal history.
