Sang Pham is a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at La Trobe University. His research explores the finite element modelling of advanced composite curved beams, with a particular interest in bio-inspired helicoidal architectures, laminated and sandwich designs, and functionally graded structures reinforced with graphene nanoplatelets and carbon nanotubes.
Alongside his research, Sang works as a Doctoral Teaching Associate (DTA). He teaches across several subjects, including Computer Aided Engineering, Mechanics of Composite Materials, and Mechanics of Solids, and he also supervises Capstone Projects, supporting students as they develop skills in computational modelling and engineering research.
