Dr Amy Larsen Lecturer (TF), Physiology Anatomy & Microbiology

Amy joined the Human Bioscience department at La Trobe University in 2012 as a Lecturer and is currently the Subject Coordinator of the Core First Year Physiology Unit Human Biosciences A (HBS1HBA). She obtained her PhD in 2008 and worked as a researcher/clinical trial coordinator at Deakin University before joining the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Microbiology. Amy has a long-standing interest in muscle physiology, specifically skeletal muscle in health and disease. She is also interested in the effects of diet and nutritional supplementation on skeletal muscle in inflammatory disease states and ageing (sarcopenia).
