Dr Aran Martin Academic, Law Melbourne

Dr Aran Martin is Editor-in-Chief of the Routledge journal Global Change, Peace and Security and an Honorary Research Fellow with the School of Law, La Trobe University.

His research interests include conflict prevention, peacemaking and peacebuilding, and the governance of complex public policy areas including international security, environmental politics, and corporate social responsibility.

Dr Martin previously held roles as Research Fellow with the Melbourne School of Government; Project Manager with the Centre for Dialogue, La Trobe University and Director of Stakeholder Relations with the Future Business Council (now the Business Council for Sustainable Development).

He is a member of the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab; the Countering Violent Extremism Research Panel (Attorney General’s Department), the Research Institute on Social Cohesion (Department of Premier & Cabinet) and the Australian Mediation Association.

Dr Martin holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of International Relations with Honours from La Trobe University.
