Dr Andre Oboler Lecturer, Law Melbourne

Dr Andre Oboler is a lecturer in the La Trobe Law School. He is a member of the La Trobe LawTech research group and primarily teaches in the Master of Cybersecurity (Law) degree. Outside of La Trobe he is CEO of the Online Hate Prevention Institute, a member of the Australian Government's delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, global chair of the IEEE Computer Society's Geographic Activities Committee, a member of the IEEE Global Public Policy Committee, Vice Chair of IEEE Australia Council, an executive member of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria and a Victorian Councillor on the Executive Council of Australian Jewry. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Lancaster University (UK), an LLM(JD) and B. Comp. Sci (Hons) from Monash University and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Political Science at Bar-Ilan University (Israel).
