Dr Alison Ravenscroft Adjunct Associate Professor, English

Alison's writings on Australian neo-colonialism and gender and their performance in reading and writing practices have been published in leading international journals including Cambridge Journal of Postcolonial Literary Inquiry, Postcolonial Studies, Cultural Studies Review, Australian Feminist Studies, Australian Humanities Review, Meanjin, and Auto/Biography, as well as in edited collections.

Alison Ravenscroft's book The Postcolonial Eye (Ashgate 2012, Routledge 2016) looks at the visual field of race and desire under colonialism. Her short fiction has been published in Best Australian Short Story, Griffith Review, and Text. Alison has edited prize-winning fiction and creative non-fiction including Indigenous autobiography. She is a co-founder of the National Indigenous Story Awards and of Indigenous Story, an online arts project.
