Aimé is currently researching innovative STEAM teaching practices and curriculum design. As part of his PhD research project, he is undertaking a comparative case study of Victorian Tech school programs and secondary college STEAM units. This research project is being conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Craig Deed and Dr Scott Alterator.
A key aspect of Aimé's research is the development and use of a cultural historical activity theory (CHAT) conceptual framework to integrate both quantitative and qualitative data into a theoretically derived data analysis tool. A CHAT conceptual framework is also utilised for situating the Tech school initiative within a broader political and educational context.
