I have dual qualifications in the allied health disciplines of audiology and speech pathology and have worked as a clinician, clinical editor and academic.
Research Interests: - Social determinants of hearing health in children - Organisational barriers to clinical practice - Self-directed funding - High-frequency hearing loss
- My PhD investigated the clinical outcomes of a novel hearing-aid scheme. The scheme was found to have positive benefits for individuals with high-frequency hearing loss. The device has since been commercialised by Phonak Pty Ltd., now known as 'Sound Recover', and is freely available to audiologists around the globe.
- I played a key role in establishing the Audiology program at La Trobe University and have been Discipline Lead since Dec 2014.
