Aidan Carter is an Italian teacher and researcher. He currently teaches in the Italian studies program at La Trobe University and works as a Research Assistant at Swinburne University of Technology.
He graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Italian studies from the University of Melbourne in 2017 specialising in sociolinguistics and repressive language policies during Fascism in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. As part of his undergraduate studies, he also specialised in Politics/International Relations and French studies, and has experience studying Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Modern Greek and Arabic both in and outside of the tertiary environment.
His research interests include corpus-assisted language learning, L2 pedagogy, modern Italian literature, the contemporary Italian detective novel, and modern Italian history with particular focus on the Fascist period.
He is also a published author with Routledge Publishers and InStudent Media.
