Bronwen is a Research Fellow and Managing Editor for Cochrane Consumers and Communication. In this role, she coordinates the development and publication of Cochrane reviews and updates in the fields of health care communication and consumer involvement. Bronwen is also leading a Cochrane qualitative evidence synthesis about partnership with consumers at the health service level to promote person-centred care.
Bronwen's PhD research focused on family carers' contributions to patient safety in the hospital setting. She was awarded a Graduate Assistant Teaching Fellowship from the Faculty of Health Sciences La Trobe University from 2012 to 2015.
Prior to joining La Trobe, Bronwen was a Research Officer for the Victorian Parliamentary Library specialising in health policy. She was appointed as the Victorian Parliamentary Library Research Fellow in 2014. She has previously worked in international mental health as a project manager and has also practised as a speech pathologist in Australia and the United Kingdom.
