Dr Caroline Taylor Lecturer, Physiology Anatomy & Microbiology

Caroline obtained her PhD from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge in 2004. She spent two years working at the Vascular Biology Center at Georgia Health Sciences University (USA) followed by nine years at the O'Brien Institute in Melbourne (2 years as a Research Officer followed by 7 years as Molecular Biology Co-ordinator for the Institute). She joined the Department of PAM in March of 2015 as a Lecturer.

Caroline's research interests are in tissue repair and vascularization, with a specific focus on understanding molecular mechanisms which promote angiogenesis and tissue survival after injury or transplantation. She has ongoing collaborations with a number of researchers both in the Department (Dr Jarrod Church, Dr Stuart McDonald & Dr Chris van der Poel) and externally (Dr Shiang Lim & A/Prof Geraldine Mitchell, SVI).
