Public health nutrition professional with a Bachelor of Dietetics and Nutrition, and a recent graduate from the Master of Public Health/International Development double degree at La Trobe University. Carmen’s public health nutrition career is underpinned by her interest in prevention through nutritional education programs and healthy eating advocacy campaigns in Mexico. Currently she teaches undergraduate subjects with a focus on health systems and on social and individual determinants of health at La Trobe University. Her major interests are related with health equity and healthy eating advocacy in at risk communities and minority groups. In her spare time, she enjoys long hikes.
