Historian in the midst of a PhD focussed on the correspondence of Karl Heinrich Ulrichs (1825-1895) - the man who established and disseminated the 'gay" identity in 1860s Germany as well as mounting a one man campaign of pamphlets, lobbying and public protests to change society and state attitudes against sexual minorities.
