Dr Eric Pardede Senior Lecturer, Comp Sci & Info Tech

Eric Pardede is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology and the Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. He has developed and taught wide range of subjects for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The subject area includes databases, data warehouses, information systems, IT entrepreneurship, industry projects and research methodologies. As principal supervisor, Eric has supervised 5 PhD students to completion and is currently supervising 6 PhD students with research topics in data analytics for various domains such as education, entrepreneurship, social network and finance. Eric has also supervised more than 35 honours and master students in completing their minor thesis. He has published papers in reputable journals in Information Technology (Future Generation Computer Systems, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, Knowledge-based Systems, etc) and other fields (Teaching in Higher Education, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, IEEE Transactions on Education). In addition, he regularly attends and presents research papers in reputable conferences in his field (WISE, PACIS, ISD, etc.).
