Dr Erica Millar Lecturer - Teaching and Research, Crime,Justice & Legal Studies

Erica's research draws from a range of disciplinary traditions and explores the interface between social, cultural, legal and biopolitical aspects of reproduction. She is interested in unpacking the relationships of power that operate through norms of reproduction and the role that schemas of reproduction play in racialised processes of nation-building. Erica has published widely on these themes as well as the related topics of abortion activism, reproductive justice, and gendered identity formation.

Erica has taught into several disciplines across many universities, moving to Latrobe University from the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies at the University of Adelaide.

Erica can supervise theses on biopolitics, pregnancy and reproduction in disciplines across the humanities and social sciences.
