Gamu Goronga Graduate Researcher, Social Work & Social Policy

Gamu Goronga is a Doctoral candidate with 19 years of social work experience. Her research topic is the engagement of child protection practitioners in supervision in Victoria. Her research interests stem from working within the child protection field where practitioners require significant support given the trauma that they are exposed to as well as working long and unpredictable hours.

Gamu has prior experience in teaching in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. She also has child protection experience from the United Kingdom. She has been with the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria for 9 years where she has held different positions and is currently working as a deputy area operations manager in regional Victoria.
