Dr Ingrid Wilson Honorary Research Fellow, Judith Lumley Centre

Ingrid Wilson is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Judith Lumley Centre. Her doctoral thesis, titled Fearing the "changed" man: Women's experience of alcohol-related intimate partner violence. A constructivist grounded theory study provided the first in-depth insight into the dynamics of partner drinking and violence, and the complexity of women's relationships with a violent drinker.

Ingrid is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow developing a multidisciplinary research program at La Trobe on alcohol-related domestic violence, a joint project of the Judith Lumley Centre and the Centre for Alcohol Policy Research. Ingrid established and co-ordinates the La Trobe University Violence Against Women Research Network (LaVAWN). Ingrid has background in Criminology and has worked in alcohol policy for government and non-profit sector. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
