Dr Jodie Smith Research Fellow - OTARC, Autism Research Centre

Dr Jodie Smith is a speech pathologist and research fellow. Her past clinical experience underlies her passion for research which aims to promote the expertise of parents in optimising communication outcomes for children. Her current research focuses on parent-mediated interventions which support child communication development. Jodie completed her PhD at Melbourne University in 2018. Her PhD thesis explored associations between maternal behaviours and child language in a cohort experiencing adversity.
