Dr Jo SpongLecturer, Public Health, Public Health LTRHS
Jo is a Lecturer with the Department of Public Health, LRHS. She has diverse research experience in clinical and non-clinical settings with a background in neuropsychology, psychophysiology, mental health and sleep research. Jo has a particular interest in sleep research specifically the effect of sleep disruption on neuropsychological functioning and mental health and disrupted sleep as a public health issue. Her research interests also include examining health systems and health services that converge on the needs of vulnerable populations such as people living with cognitive or physical disability and mental illness. Jo teaches into the health science undergraduate degrees and also into research focused subjects, being the regional co-ordinator for Research and Evidence in Practice (HLT1RAE) for the Core First Year.
