Dr Jo SpongLecturer, Public Health, Public Health LTRHS
Jo is a Lecturer in the Rural Department of Community Health (Health Sciences), LRHS. She has diverse research experience in clinical and non-clinical settings with a background in neuropsychology, psychophysiology, mental health and sleep research. Jo has an interest in examining health systems and health services that converge on the needs of vulnerable populations such as people living with cognitive or physical disability and mental illness. Jo also has an interest in sleep research specifically the effect of sleep disruption on neuropsychological functioning and mental health and disrupted sleep as a public health issue. Jo has teaching and co-ordination roles in the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree and research focused subjects and is the major lead for the Rehabiliation Counselling major (Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, Bendigo campus).
