Dr James Tsatsaronis Lecturer, Biochemistry and Genetics (TF), Biochemistry

James completed his PhD at the University of Wollongong in 2014, researching interactions of the human bacterial pathogen Group A Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes) with divergent neutrophil responses. Following his PhD training James spent 2 years studying extracellular vesicle formation by Gram-positive bacteria in Berlin, Germany.

Since returning to Australia in 2017, James has pursued teaching-focussed academic work, joining La Trobe University in 2019 as a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Genetics.
