Kylie is a lecturer and researcher in the Occupational Therapy Program at the La Trobe Rural Health School in Bendigo. Kylie currently teaches within core subjects of the program, with a primary focus on skills and concepts classes relating to occupational science and rehabilitation. Her professional interests include trauma/posttraumatic growth, military research, occupational science, and rural health and well-being. Kylie is a reviewer for the Australian and American Occupational Therapy Journals, British Journal of Occupational Therapy, and Environment and Behavior. She was a member of the the College of Science Health and Engineering Human Research Ethics Committee from 2015 and 2019 and is a current member of the Australasian Military Medicine Association and Australasian Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Her innovative doctoral research explores the influence of meaningful activity on health and psychosocial adjustment during the transition from military service to civilian life.
