Dr Katie Wright Senior Lecturer, Sociology, Sociology

Katie Wright is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology in the Department of Social Inquiry. She conducts historically focused sociological research on a range of topics broadly concerned with childhood, education and the social and cultural influence of psychological knowledge.

Katie is currently undertaking an ARC funded historical sociological study of public inquiries into childhood maltreatment. She leads the collaborative digital project, The Age of Inquiry: A global mapping of abuse inquiries. And previously, with Professor Julie McLeod, she completed an ARC funded cultural history of adolescence, citizenship and schooling.
