I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Politics and Philosophy. I am interested in distributive justice, particularly in the educational context, and my research engages with both political philosophy and public policy.
The working title of my PhD thesis, which will be completed in 2019, is 'Justice, Equality and Fairness in Education: Towards a Multi-dimensional Account of Educational Justice'. The thesis focuses on evaluating existing theories of educational justice, and also identifies a component of educational justice that has largely been ignored in the literature on this topic. The thesis proposes a multidimensional account of educational justice that incorporates a number of different principles of educational justice, considering how these different principles should be balanced against each other and how they should be arranged in a hierarchy of value.
