Kathleen Mellahn Graduate Researcher, Speech Pathology

Kathleen is a Speech Pathologist and Graduate Researcher within the Centre of Research Excellence in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation. She is studying the clinical pathways and experiences of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) people with aphasia under Professor Miranda Rose (Director, Aphasia CRE).

Kathleen's research and clinical interests stem from her experience working with people with aphasia across the continuum of care . Her particular interests include improving access and equity of care for people with aphasia who speak a primary language other than English, the inpatient experience of people with post-stroke aphasia, the effectiveness and accessibility of aphasia treatment, and translational research.
