Liz Williams Graduate Researcher, Speech Pathology

Liz is a speech pathologist working in a brain injury rehabilitation service in South Australia. She is doing research through La Trobe University via a part time PhD in the Department of Community and Clinical Allied Health at La Trobe University, with supervision by Professor Jacinta Douglas (La Trobe University and the Summer Foundation) and Dr Tanya Serry (La Trobe University). Liz's research topic relates to the working alliance in community brain injury rehabilitation. Liz has done some preliminary studies around the experiences of the alliance for people with brain injury, their close others and therapists and is currently interested in the development and maintenance of the alliance.
Liz was also the convener for the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment's Brain Impairment conference held in Adelaide 2018.
