Dr Leila Afshari Lecturer - HRM/MGT, Management Sport & Tourism

Leila Afshari is the Program Director of HRM and Management; La Trobe Business School, and is a Lecturer in business and Management. Leila holds a PhD in Business, Management. Leila’s PhD illuminates how mechanisms of agency and identity mediate the relationship between leadership and organizational commitment in the varying contexts of culture and industry type. Her model and its associated propositions give clear guidelines to practitioners who seek to increase organizational citizenship behaviour.
Her current research interests are Professional and Organizational Identity, Organizational Leadership, Innovation in Organizational Leadership and Management, Women in STEM and Leadership.
