Associate Professor Leila Karimi Associate Prof, Public Health, Public Health

Leila holds a position at La Trobe as an Associate Professor of organisational psychology, director of teaching and learning at the School of Psychology and Public Health, and collaborates with the statistics department as a statistician. She brings in over ten years of experience of working in research and academic settings and enjoys the challenge of working with researchers from many different disciplines.
Leila's current research focus is on health service management and psychological workplace topics in health care organisations including emotional intelligence, quality of care, stress-related presenteeism, and empowerment aiming towards making healthier, more productive workplaces. She’s an Accredited Statistician with the Statistical Society of Australia (AStat), a member of Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), and an Associate Fellow of Australian College of Health Service Management (AFCHSM). Her main area of statistical expertise are Multivariate analysis, Multi-level Modeling, Structural Equation Modeling, Psychological Measurement, Psychometrics, Partial least square and Research designs.
She is the author or co-author of more than 50 refereed journal articles and book chapters. Leila also collaboratively with research teams of her peers have attracted more than $1,000,000 research budget including two NHMRC projects and industry research contracts.
