Dr Melissa GilbertResearch Officer, Autism Research Centre
Dr Melissa Gilbert is a post-doctoral researcher with interests in autism, disability, and women's health and well-being. She is currently working on a trial for the early detection of autism within general practice and was recently involved with training the Victorian maternal and child health nurse workforce in early autism identification. Previously she was study coordinator of the Women's Healthy Ageing Project (University of Melbourne). Dr Gilbert completed her PhD on women's transition back to work after maternity leave at La Trobe University in 2013.
