Dr Malliga Marimuthu Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Entrepreneurship Innovation & Marketing

I am a senior lecturer in Marketing at La Trobe Business School. I was conferred Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2008 with the honour of the award ‘Research Higher Degree Best PhD Thesis Award’.

I have good experience in research, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising postgraduates, as well as consultancy.

Primary themes of my research interest are Service Marketing and General Marketing with current evolving interest on engagement, service workers, innovation and access based services. I hugely support the agenda of creating service systems and processes that result in consumers social impact, employee upliftment and human well being. My current research working papers are focusing on how the service providers, employees and customers might benefit from access to service design strategies, tools and techniques through workplace learning. My other research fields are Hospitality Marketing and Tourism Marketing.
