Petrina Hilton Research Officer - W3 Project, Aust Res Ctr Sex Hlth&Soc

Petrina is currently working on the What Works and Why (W3) Project - Understanding what works and why in peer-based and peer-led programs in HIV and hepatitis C - and PozQoL, a new quality of life scale for people living with HIV.

Petrina completed a Master of International Public Health in 2012 with a focus on community development and improving health through addressing social inequity. She has predominantly worked in health promotion for community- and peer-led organisations focused on improving the health outcomes of people living with HIV; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) communities; and people living with severe mental illness and/or psychosocial disability. Before coming to La Trobe, she was volunteering in Tonga through the Australian Volunteer Program at the Tonga Health Promotion Foundation.
