Politically Informed, Gender Aware Programming: Five Lessons from Practice Report uri icon

  • This policy brief highlights five key lessons that emerge from the Gender and Politics in Practice (GAPP) research program of the Developmental Leadership Program. The GAPP publications series includes: a literature review; a context paper, and three in-depth studies that examine how gender and politics came together in social change processes: women political leaders in the Pacific; labour reform in Vietnam’s clothing industry; transgender empowerment and social inclusion in Indonesia; and 14 short case studies of development programs that aim to be both politically informed and gender aware, and a synthesis of their key insights.
