abstract

  • This report is a study about the current position of Namibia – the status quo regarding digitisation and digitalisation, that must precede digital transformation, and lead to economic growth, bridging the rural-urban digital divide, ensure equality and prevent discrimination on the basis of social status when it comes to ICT access and use, and to ensure prosperity and a decent quality of life for all citizens. It is a situational analysis and position paper before starting to map out Namibia’s digital future, in a national digital strategy. The aim is to present findings on the state of readiness of Namibia to adopt a national digital strategy, to participate in the globally digitalised economy.
