Dr Richard Luke Emeritus Scholar, Office of Life Sciences

Richard completed his BAgrSc degree at the University of Melbourne and his PhD at the Australian National University. In 1969 he joined the then School of Agriculture as Lecturer in Nutritional Biochemistry and in 1978 he was appointed Senior Lecturer. His teaching areas have included biochemistry, microbiology, physiology and nutrition, and coordination of work experience. In 1975/76 he was a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Bacteriology at the University of Bristol (UK) in 1979/80, a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK) and Visitor at the University of Birmingham (UK) in 1999/2000. In 1980 he was appointed President of Glenn College, a position he held concurrently with his academic position until the end of 1996.
