Dr Stephanie GaroniLecturer, Nexus Program, Education School Operations
Stephanie Garoni is a lecturer in the School of Education. She has researched the transition from primary to secondary school using conversation analysis to study classroom talk practices in everyday lessons; reframing transition as social action.
She has many years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher librarian, learning support teacher, enrichment coordinator, literacy and numeracy advisor and deputy principal in both Australian and overseas schools. From 2001 to 2005, she lectured in the Education Faculty at Central Queensland University. Since moving to Albury Wodonga, she worked at Charles Sturt University as an academic from 2007 to 2019.
Her current role at La Trobe University is in the Nexus program as an academic coordinator.
