Sumina Shrestha Graduate Researcher, Nursing

Sumina Shrestha is a Graduate Researcher in the Department of Australian Institute of Primary Care and Ageing under School of Nursing and Midwifery. Her current research project focuses on caring of older people in a multicultural in aged care settings. Her research interest is influenced by significant dependence of aged care sector in migrant care workers considering the fact that caregiving is such a sensitive job which itself is influenced by cultural values, modes of social interaction and behavioural norms of a care worker.
Her academic background is Public Health. She has involved in research in different aspects of public health like ageing, child health (immunization and malnutrition), substance abuse, domestic violence and reproductive health including infertility in Nepal. She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative studies with descriptive and analytical study designs.
