Associate Professor Sajad Fayezi Associate Professor - Management, Management Sport & Tourism

I am an Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management at La Trobe Business School. I earned my PhD from Deakin University and have an international working experience across Australia/New Zealand, South East Asia, and Middle-East. I have successfully managed flagship postgraduate/executive programs in Operations, Supply Chain and Project Management at various higher education institutions in Australia.

My core area of expertise lies in 'Design for Sustainability' in global value chains through exploring issues such as sustainability transitions, tensions, and innovations. I have strong qualitative research skills including case study and ethnography.

I am interested to hear from prospective PhD candidates in areas such as global value chains (sustainability, governance and multi-stakeholder initiatives); social issues in supply chains (including human rights and modern slavery); social procurement and responsible sourcing; and organisational resilience.

I am leading several collaborative research projects including an international collaboration that aims to assist stakeholders of the Palm Oil global value chain including smallholders/growers in their sustainability transition journey. My research papers have been published in some of the top academic/practitioner journals such as IJMR, IJOPM, IJPDLM, SCMIJ, JMTM and CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly. Currently, I am an editorial board member of International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, and Journal of Global Operations & Strategic Sourcing.
