I have a keen interest in learning and teaching and have applied my knowledge and skills successfully in a range of teaching and management roles. Examples include: -Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Second Language Teaching Methodology -Curriculum development with Faculty program teams -Audits of off-shore university facilities, courses and teaching -Research and evaluation in higher education and secondary education -Professional development of academic and secondary teaching staff -Design and coordination of a Peer Observation and Review of Teaching (PORT) program -Design and directorship of a national literacy and numeracy test at years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
My substantive role involves the development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of strategies to foster high-quality and innovative approaches to curriculum development, learning and teaching within the College. The College is comprised of four Schools: Trobe Business School; La Trobe Law School; School of Humanities and Social Sciences; School of Education. From February to June 2018 I undertook the role of Acting Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Coursework. This involved overseeing the quality of courses, subjects, student retention, student complaints, and engaging and contributing in a range of committees.
