Sunil Patel is the Manager of Training, Information and Resource Development at GLHV, a Victorian government funded lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and intersex (LGBTI) health and wellbeing organisation based at La Trobe University. GLHV is a world first and remains unique in its approach to creating culture change regarding LGBTI people. He is one of the original members of GLHV since it's establishment in 2003.
Sunil is responsible for the design, development and delivery of evidence-based LGBTI inclusive practice training to services in the health and community sectors. He also manages strategic communications of the Rainbow Tick, a set of national standards developed by GLHV to help organisations deliver LGBTI inclusive services.
Sunil is co-author of a number of influential LGBTI research publications, including the much cited Private Lives reports (see publications below).
Sunil has 30 years' experience in health and diversity and has worked in LGBTI health research, HIV, and equal opportunity service delivery both in the UK and Australia.
