Tessa-May Zirnsak Graduate Researcher, Philosophy

Tessa-May Zirnsak is a PhD candidate in Gender Sexuality and Diversity Studies. Her research centres around understanding how and why the cognitive disability community face a disproportional amount of contact violence, despite efforts to decrease this. Following the work of feminist and intersectional thinkers, Tessa-May's answer to this problem stems from understanding contact violence as based in cultural and systemic violence. Tessa-May also has experience working in disability advocacy.
