Dr. Doureige J. Jurdi is a specialist in finance and risk management at La Trobe Business School (LBS). He has played a central role in shaping the finance discipline at the postgraduate level, having developed and coordinated the Financial Risk Management specialisation within the Master of Financial Analysis program and served as a degree advisor for the finance program.

Dr. Jurdi has made significant contributions to curriculum development, designing and introducing a suite of specialised subjects in banking and risk management. His teaching portfolio reflects broad yet focused expertise, encompassing Banking, Risk and Financial Management, Financial Technology (FinTech), and Investments. Dr Jurdi maintains active industry engagements. He brings a practitioner-informed, research-led approach to the teaching, equipping students with the analytical rigor and applied skills demanded by today's financial sector.

Dr. Jurdi’s current research agenda spans asset pricing, sustainable and corporate finance. He is an active Higher Degree by Research (HDR) supervisor, with a track record of guiding doctoral and master's by research candidates to successful completion.
