BIO

Associate Professor Emmaline Bexley leads the Widening Participation unit at La Trobe. This unit is comprised of Educational Partnerships, La Trobe's school outreach team working with socio-economically disadvantaged schools across our regions; Enabling Programs, offering academic pathways to university for mature age and school students; In2Science, a mentoring program for middle-years schools students aimed at increasing aspiration to science study and careers for girls, Indigenous students, and those from backgrounds that are underrepresented in STEM; and the Albury-Wodonga and Shepparton Bradford Pathways Program, a senior school mentoring program supporting students to aim for and access university. Emmaline has published widely on equity and participation, university access and selection, and university management and academic work.
