Edward Narain is a Fijian political analyst, researcher and author, whose work regularly appears in The Fiji Times and Fiji Sun. He has also written the award winning ethnographic novel - Sugar.

Descended from Indian indentured labourers, Edward’s childhood was equally immersed in his Indo-Fijian roots and extended Indigenous Fijian family. Inspired by conversations overheard during his childhood through his Dad’s involvement in Fijian politics, Edward has maintained a keen interest in development, race and class dynamics, and social justice in Fiji.
