BIO

Dr Freda Haylett is a Research Fellow in the Reducing Gender-Based Violence Research Group at the Violet Vines Marshman Centre for Rural Health Research, within the La Trobe Rural Health School. With an interdisciplinary, mixed-methods research background, her past work has explored the lived experiences of pregnant and parenting women facing homelessness. Currently, Dr Haylett is part of the Partners in Prevention of Sexual Violence project, where she leads the 'Education for Behaviour Change' stream. In this role, she oversees the implementation and evaluation of school-based primary prevention of sexual violence interventions across Australia, including an ongoing intervention trial.
