Ged Kennett is an Adjunct Associate Professor with La Trobe Buusiness School. She was the former Associate Dean Academic Partnerships in the La Trobe Business School, responsible for leading the School’s engagement with academic, community and industry partners. Ged was previously the Director of the MBA Program, Professor of Practice in Management and Director of Industry Engagement at La Trobe University where she was responsible for the strategic direction of the MBA, teaching, curriculum development and industry engagement initiatives for the Business School.
Before joining La Trobe University she was the Institute for Public Administration Australia’s (IPAA) Victorian Chief Executive Officer responsible for the development and management of a range of professional development programs and services for members. Ged was also the Institute’s Program Director, Australian Industry Group’s Membership Strategy Manager and Australian Human Resource Institute’s, Professional Development and Membership Manager. She served for eight years as Deputy Chair of Multicultural Arts Victoria and four years a Board member of Connecting Home (formerly Stolen Generation Victoria).
Ged has specialist expertise in leading, managing and growing sustainable not-for-profit organisations, in particular organisations with complex stakeholders and education outcomes. As CEO of a peak body/professional association she had a reputation for excellent governance and relationship building capabilities. Geraldine has been on not-for-profit Boards for more than 10 year, undertaking roles in audit, risk and finance, human resource management and strategic planning.
