BIO
Janette is the Acting Director of the Australian Institute for Primary Care & Ageing (AIPCA), a research centre located within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University. Her research interests are in the areas of aged care and health sectors and the intersection with technology. This can range from the use of telehealth in assessment to the software tools used to gather data. Her work is mainly focused on aged care and regional assessment teams.
Janette is also a PhD candidate at La Trobe, examining the effects of pet ownership on older people as they transition to supported accommodation.
Janette's current projects include:
- An Evaluation of the Trans and Gender Diverse Health Initiative
- Head of the Aged Care Systems Support Group working with Aged Care Assessment Services and Regional Assessment Services in Victoria.
