BIO

I specialise in large scale complex project evaluations (multiple year, multiple stakeholders, multiple methods of data collection, with multiple levels of reporting and translation), operating as an academic but speaking like industry. I enjoy developing an evidence base for decision making, collaborating to get the best industry outcomes, educating and assisting industry to interpret data, and ensuring the context of sport is understood and navigated by organisations and Government who wish to operate or invest in it.

Right now I am working on projects investigating the impact of injury in community sport, developing an evidence base that demonstrates the impact of surfers in keeping our coastline safe, and supporting sports organisations and Local Government Authorities who have received grants from VicHealth.

Prior to working in the Centre for Sport and Social Impact, I taught in La Trobe University's Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of International Business (MIB) and Bachelor of Business - Sport Management degrees. I also have over 10 years experience working in and consulting to Local Government in Recreation and Leisure (Recreation Planning, Sport Development, and Capital Works).
